Grade 2 Spelling List

This looks really promising! Second Grade Spelling List. Includes free printable worksheets, plain list, abc, and unscramble for each week. And there are 36 weeks!

Bingo!

The first day of school is always a "Back to School Party!" We bake a special treat the day before, and play a fun game of Bingo while we eat our treats. This year we are baking Neapolitan Cupcakes the recipe is in the amazing book, "Cupcakes! from the Cake Doctor." And for bingo I went on the search for some to print.

I found quite a few that seemed swell and fabulous, but then I found this gem (imo).
Custom Bingo Cards

You can select blank or among many of their themes, including holidays, characters, shapes, math, and so forth. You can choose to print in color or black and white. I landed with Shapes in black and white, and will be coloring these in tonight and then putting contact paper on them so they hold up.

I'm super excited to print sets for the different holidays!

I found this blank bingo card from Bingo Card Printer. But am definitely going with the time saver bingo in the first link.

Kindergarten/Pre-K - Hubbard Cupboard Themes & Letter of the Week

First week is short and will not begin Sonlight until the following week, the first week will be a light theme unit, learning/reviewing writing name, phone numbers, and what to do in emergencies.

School Year: September 2, 2008 - June 12, 2009
Term 1: September 8, 2008 - November 7, 2008
Term 2: November 10, 2008 - January 30, 2009
Term 3: February 2, 2009 - April 10, 2009
Term 4: April 13, 2009 - June 12, 2009

We need to meet with our supervising teacher a minimum of one time during the above terms.

Vacations (15-16 weeks off)
Thanksgiving Break - November 24 - November 28 (1 week)
Christmas Break - December 22 - January 2 (2 week)
Spring Break - (to be decided in future, time alloted in Term 3 for 1 week off)
Summer Break - Begins June 15th (11 or 12 weeks off, to be decided later)
