Welcome!

Welcome to our lil homeschool journal. I will be updating as regularly as I can. I would like to use this area to give information to others as well as note progress and to keep track of the year. We are both very excited to begin, and as of this morning I have found a place for everything. I still have some planning to do, and things to print off. But we are in pretty good shape.

The classroom will evolve as the year progresses, I imagine more posters on the wall. Not pictured is a craft table that will move where the tall bookshelf is this weekend.

We will begin this school year September 6th, and have approx. 13 weeks in the first semester. I'm really looking forward to learning and growing with my daughter.

Hello! I'm Jenn from Joyful Heart Designs...I found you in my site referrals :) First off, thank you for linking back to me!! I appreciate it ;) There are so many people who don't... :(

Secondly, good luck with the home schooling! I home schooled my two kids for 2 and a 1/2 years, and then opted to put them into public school after finding out that our local elementary school is actually a GREAT school. My son was really struggling with reading, and I think being here at home where all of his toys and games are just was too much of a distraction for him. As soon as he started at public school he began to really take off and has been doing great since :) It is wonderful to be able to have the kids at home though, and I do miss it some days :(

I hope you and your daughter really enjoy this time together, and that she flourishes with you as her teacher!

((HUGS))
Jenn :)
